Shielded pumps are leak-free pumps that integrate a shielded motor and pump, primarily used in industries such as chemicals, aquaculture, food, pharmaceuticals, and environmental protection. Due to their operation in contact with various corrosive and viscous liquids, such as acids, alkalis, and salts, the internal components of shielded pumps are prone to corrosion and wear, resulting in decreased performance and increased maintenance costs.
Solution: The shaft sleeve and thrust disk are mainly used to support the rotor assembly and withstand the axial forces generated during pump operation. During the spraying process, the matrix material does not produce stress or deformation. The surface hardness is significantly increased after applying a thermal sprayed tungsten carbide coating, making it more wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, thus extending the service life of these components and reducing corrosion in the shaft sleeve and thrust disk.
Advantages of Spraying: To address the corrosion and wear issues prevalent in pump equipment, we employ thermal spraying and cladding methods to apply tungsten carbide or alloy coatings on the surfaces of the components. This treatment enhances the working surface, effectively reducing wear, corrosion, and high-temperature oxidation failures in the shaft sleeve and thrust disk. As a result, it improves the durability and safety of components and devices in pump applications.
