Compared to tungsten carbide coatings, chromium carbide coatings demonstrate superior high-temperature and corrosion resistance. Therefore, chromium carbide is particularly advantageous for the repair of environmental protection equipment.

Surface reinforcement of components in environmental protection equipment (such as valve bodies, end pieces, and small rotors) involves applying chromium carbide coatings through the supersonic spraying process. Chromium carbide is a gray powder with a metallic luster and a melting point of 1890°C. As a result, it offers excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance in high-temperature environments (1000-1100°C). It is widely used in thermal spraying materials for metal surface treatments and in the hard alloy industry.
