Thermal spraying technology has been used in printing mechanical parts for many years. It is mainly plasma spraying, arc spraying, and high-speed flame spraying ceramic coatings and metal cermet coatings are not only used for the restoration of waste parts, but more importantly, pre-strengthening in the manufacturing process of new parts, giving the printing roller surface one or more properties such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, engraving, selectivity, wetting type, insulation, non-stickness and anti-static properties, so as to achieve the purpose of improving service life and its special functions. The main parts include printing rollers, laser engraving rollers, ceramic anilox rollers; coating rollers, ink rollers, paper conveying jaws, intermediate imprint rollers, etc.

Printing rollers are basic components with large printing machinery and wide surfaces. Surface protection is usually done by Cr plating, Ni plating and Ni-P plating. Due to the porosity of the coating, the roller surface is corroded by chemical additives in the ink and environmental water vapor during use, resulting in pitting, pinholes and erosion pits, which can easily cause color difference in printing images and affect printing quality. In order to further improve the service life and printing quality of the printing roller, the printing roller uses arc sprayed stainless steel series materials and high-speed flame sprayed Co-WC series coating or plasma spray, which has excellent wear and corrosion resistance.
